The Saddest part of the whole situation is that there are misguided, confused and just plain goofy persons out there that (will) fall for this bullshit and actually line your pockets for virtually free advice available from other sources.

Thank you for all that you do. For me, I enjoy learning and the time I spend watching videos that help me learn. If I were looking for advice on something specific I would gladly pay for it, as I would to a lawyer or doctor.

I think it would help the consulting if you put all the major considerations in an ebook--given as part of the consult, but sold outright as one package, i.e. "What you never know about RVs for the first timer."

Hey Wingman! I’m not complaining about the idea of charging us for advice offered. I’m currently reentering the RV lifestyle, my first trailer was a 1986 Road Ranger. I lost it because I became homeless, and also got screwed by the person who stole my trailer. The trailer was a 31-footer, the floor plan was rebuilt but the only saving grace was that it possessed tons of storage. I’m currently searching for dealerships that deal in resales; I don’t live in Texas, I’m a Californian. About the only reseller that I know is any good is Sky River RV in Pismo Beach, California. Some days I just go down and drool at the resales market getting ideas. Sky River RV is also a dealer of Airstream trailer in Central California. Honestly, I wish that the prices for new vehicles wasn’t so outrageous? Honestly, if you do start offering advice on RUclips, I’d be willing to pay.

I watch a variety of RUclips channels and it amazes me the kinds of questions people ask. Questions that I know a quick Google search will answer. You can’t please all of the people, all of the time. We have a situation different than most I read. At the end of 2018 we bought a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk 32 MV. Love it. Put in a Truma for instant hot water. We even bought a special attachment so we can carry a spare tire. Problem is I developed scoliosis two years ago and it has been an uphill battle. I’m not ready to give up and sell yet but if that comes we will definitely use your list of dealers to guide us. Wingman, do what makes you happy and forget the rest.

Alan, you are doing one on one's with people. That sounds like gold to me!!! You should definitely do it! You can help countless newbies. I have been rving since the 80'S. I have taught countless people over the years!!! The things I have learned the hard way!!! Go for it Alan!!!

From a interviewing point.......I would like to know a bit more about your experience. I know that you used to own a campground but beyond that I don't know your professional background. How many years did you work at a RV dealership or car dealership? Did you ever work for a RV Manufacturer in some capacity? Were you a RV tech where you learned the ins and outs of systems built into todays RV's? I guess in general, where did you acquire your RV knowledge that would help others make good decisions? Thanks.

Yes the Wing man could help a lot of people the best thing you can do is a one on one Boot Camp. With paying a nice fee. Finding the best place to buy A RV. And Getting an inspection. An a good Education. Next telling them a great place to get the best price. Because there are a lot bad dealers. I help out with dealers years ago with the Hurricanes. I saw so many bad people. I will not name anyone. But the Wing Man Knows 100% What he talking about With Camping World. And many other dealers. People please don’t go to dealers. Without the Education. I know he will take good care of you on which one you should get. What price you should pay. Trust me I have seen it all with the mark up price is All the add on they charge. Many extra you don’t need to pay for. I don’t work for him. I only listen to him. Trust me he knows what he talking bout 100%.

Being something who bought my first camper 7 years ago, I can honestly say that I would have been overjoyed to have the opportunity to pay someone for personal help. Especially AFTER the sale and the problems started. I made many mistakes. Mainly not buying from a reputable dealer who takes care of you AFTER the sale. I wish you nothing but the best sir!

I have downloaded your free RV report a few times (buying/selling) & have found it Very helpful. Haven’t of late cause frankly I’m not in a position to get another RV at this time. I find the “tips & tricks” for buying/selling very helpful & hope you won’t give that up . . They are good general guidelines. But having you available for a specific consult if/when I’m ready & able to move forward is also invaluable to me! So in the end I think both are helpful. Go for it Alan!

RVing is an expensive way of doing outdoor and travel stuff. They are wonderful vehicles for travel. Dealer contracts exclude themselves from any liability. Factories make litigation only at the state of origin. NEW RV’s HAVE PROBLEMS THAT FEW DEALERS WILL FiX. I disagree with your analysis of the economy. You give no facts backing up what you say. The economy is better than ever. Look at the stock market. Used RV’s is the way we go….

Just wanted to say thank you for starting this episode with reading the comments I made about PPL, the Middle Man. I suggest purchasing a Purple or perhaps a Tiger Striped Velvet hat with a big feather! If you’re going to be a Paid Pimp for PPL you need to look the part. My opinion hasn’t changed, eliminate the Middle Man for the best deal. Best deal being, purchase from a private owner who ate the depreciation , has put some miles on it to work out the bugs, get a great deal!!! Bonus points for a Marine Corps sticker on the back window, you know it’s in tip top shape! ;)

This is a message to all new RV buyers. Bottom line, if you're going to purchase and use an RV please realize that it is a piece of equipment that requires knowledge, skill and ability to operate and maintain. If you can't do that, then it will require lots of money and downtime to have it done for you. There is no magic bullet tip that will make your RV life trouble free. Troubles will come, and you need to be ready for them. There is no getting around this fact. So the question becomes, is owning an RV for you? If doing the work or paying for it, and putting up with the downtime is not for you, don't do it. Thanks Wingman!

I purchased mine at PPL in Cleburne, Texas. For the most part it was a nice experience. I was Limited on funds and could not afford a separate RV Inspection. I had to pay $610 for their inspection which turned out to be only verifying the appliances works, After I got the unit I discovered the roof had damage and was leaking in the bedroom, Additionally When it rained the water came through the roof around the Air Con. I spent a week discovering this damage and resealing it all to stop it. Damage was already done 3 spots near the front of the RV in the bedroom but I was able to stop it for now. NO MENTION of any damage was stated by the dealer... Kindda Disappointed. Buyer Beware is all I can say...

Divide and conquer, that is the strategy being applied to us. We have the illusion of choice. Most politicians are criminals that are bought and paid for, on both sides of the aisle. They are just two wings of the same dirty corrupt bird. There is a few that are genuine, but they are too out numbered to make a difference on solving any problems that are allowed to persist or that are purposely created by the corrupted puppets in charge. If we could unite, and focus on what's really important and on our similarities rather than our differences, we could overcome anything. Unfortunately, they divide us and manipulate us in so many different ways and categories, we are too busy arguing and distracted to see and understand what's really going on right in front of us. Your a wise man, and thank you for trying to help people see what they either don't want to see, or just don't see. It's like the old saying, " It's easier to fool someone than to convince them that they have been fooled." Thanks again and God bless.

It's unfortunate but it needs to be addressed. The dealers need to band together and demand the manufacturers back up the product. You (the dealer) deal with your suppliers, but if you do not provide a warranty similar to car manufacturers, we will not sell your product.

To each their own. Most people I meet think the world evolves around them. If you don’t buy the same stuff, do things their way, believe the way they do …etc. too many examples to name. I will give one though. A guy had a similar camper to mine. Get into the conversation of mods, repairs and such. He was bent out of shape because I replaced a couple parts. He said “just use a bungie cord, tape, why fix that?” I even stated “out of convenience, make life easier, maintain value and appearance” he still went off like I was wrong to do it.

How much shi- do we have to go through before people wake up and stop this Combyah-type attitude. It's gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

Love your videos, you're honest, and that's the most important thing most of us look for. I dont have jackholes in my life. In real life, I wash them away. Dont have them in it. On line, I just block or mute them. Lots of them are just paid political jackholes taking a break from their process of being a keyboard bandit on social media. Worked on many rvs over the years....currently living in a 1975 trailer. Only way to get a good reliable rv is to get an older one with a solid frame, gut it and remake it yourself....that is if you have the knowledge and ability to do so. My wife is severely disabled and wheelchair bound so i had to take some extreme extra steps but we have been living in it for over 5 years and not a single issue because i gutted it and built it with extreme insulation (far better than you can buy), a hoyer lift to move my wife around, solar powered, slightly sloped roof with no seems , etc.etc.etc.

Hey Wingman, let's talk about how much the mobile repair charge for their work. I believe they are trying to get rich over night. I realize its work, but come on the charges are way to high and many senior citizens are ripped off because we can't do the work due to health reasons or just don't have the funds. Wingman, totally agree with you on lying! Folks click bait titles, like RVs are crashing, or done for or whatever lies work. I don’t think you value money as much as your integrity, I guess one could call that a flaw…. US among its tribal instinct groups has more in common with itself than does with any other external group. The danger that I worry about is that we will have new generations that cannot afford the American dream of home ownership and won’t have the golden handcuffs of mortgage to keep them civil, and will instead embrace criminal opportunities, similar to other countries who face this dilemma. At some point US will have to decide if housing is a store of value or a right of dutiful employment, it can no longer have both. I am obviously for taxation of land and investment property, in a way that disincentives hoarding land, houses and makes the American dream obsolete. God Bless the USA.
